| Diamond Polishing Discs
Vitro Diamond Discs may be used under a variety
of floor machines, including single disc as well as multiple head
and automatic scrubbers.
They perform well
on a variety of hard surfaces including marble, terrazzo, limestone
and concrete, leaving a flat, highly polished surface.
Vitro Diamonds are of the latest
technology. These resin bonded diamond abrasives can be used wet
or dry and come in the following sequence: 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4
& 5.
If the floor does not need to be cut
deep then you can start with either #1 or #2. Then all you have is
three or four steps and you are finished.
- #1 cuts as aggressive as 30g resin but leaves
a 50g finish
- #2 cuts as aggressive as 120g resin but leaves
a 220g finish
- #3 cuts as aggressive as 400g resin but
leaves an 800g finish
- #4 polishes to a 1800g finish
- #5 polishes to a 3500g finish

- Vitro Cuts may be used on: marble, terrazzo,
granite & concrete
Average life of the Vitro Diamond
discs varies from 3,000-5,000 sq ft. depending on floor condition
and density. The yield on diamond discs when polishing Concrete and
Terrazzo may be slightly less if used dry. |

Lippage Removal Discs: 3" Diamond discs are used to
remove lippage from marble floors. For
extreme lippage removal start with a 50 grit metal
bond disc then follow it with a #00 resin bond diamond
disc as described below. The 00
cuts as aggressive as a 50 grit metal bond diamond abrasive;
however, it leaves a smooth scratch pattern since it is resin
bonded. The 0 cuts as aggressive as a 100 grit metal bond diamond
abrasive, also leaving the smooth resin scratch pattern. This
eliminates the old problem of trying to remove the deep scratches
left behind by expensive metal diamonds.
