CDC recommendations for MRSA prevention:

  • Keep your hands clean by washing with soap and water or using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
  • Shower immediately after participating in exercise
  • Keep cuts and scrapes clean and covered with a bandage until healed
  • Use a barrier, such as clothing or a towel, when using shared equipment
  • Maintain a clean environment by cleaning frequently touched surfaces
  • Avoid sharing personal items such as towels or razors
