Active alkalinity not greater than 50
ppm higher than tap water. |
2. Centrifugal Extraction: Bring to full speed for
1 to 2 minutes and release.
3. Hydraulic Extraction: 250 PSI pressure for 3
minutes and release.
4. Drying: Tumble at 120-140F.
5. Handling/Processing:
1. The final rinse water should be titrated to
determine the amount of active alkali. If higher than 50ppm over tap, an additional rinse
is required.
2. To insure the total removal of excess alkali,
souring may be desired. This should be done according to the recommendation of the
supplier of the souring chemical.
3. All of the processing temperatures are very
critical. High washing and drying temperature can severely damage the fibers.
4. Bleach is not recommended, however if used,
should not exceed the equivalent of 1 quart of 1% concentrate per 100lbs of mops at 10.0 -
10.5 pH.
5. During first use or first laundering, some
indicator color may be visible in the solution. This color is not a dye, however
pre-rinsing before use may be desired.
