Formulated using lithium silicate for a high gloss with excellent wear properties, ProGuard eliminates the need for conventional floor finishes and topical coatings. Best results and coverage are achieved when applied to a polished surface between 1,500 - 3,000 grit finish.
Due to the unique chemistry, ProGuard will not peel from the surface. Periodic re-coating requires no stripping as the material doesn’t build up.
ProGuard is non-toxic, non-hazardous and VOC compliant in all 50 states. The easy to use finish is tough, scuff resistant and fast drying. ProGuard is used in conjunction with a high speed burnisher on non-porous concrete and terrazzo (cementitious).
Ideal for ground and polished concrete surfaces as well as colored, dyed or stained concrete. ProGuard enhances the color intensity of poured and polished concrete as well as terrazzo floor surfaces.
- Delivers a high gloss shine with stain resistance as well as gloss retention
- Keeps soil and contaminants from penetrating, making cleaning faster
- Ready to use in a few hours - rapidly cures into a durable finish
- Forms a protective “nano surface layer” that's breathable and abrasion resistant
- Reduces maintenance, cleaning costs and costly repairs-simply damp mop or machine scrub
- No build-up, periodic re-application is simple and requires no stripping
- Prolongs shine of polished concrete surfaces
ProGuard Concrete / Terrazzo Finish Application
BEFORE APPLICATION, ALWAYS PERFORM A SMALL TEST SAMPLE IN A LESS VISIBLE AREA.
Recommended for concrete and cement / portland (cementitious) terrazzo floors (not for use with epoxy terrazzo)
- 1st coat: 1,500 - 2,000 square feet per gallon
- 2nd coat 2,000 - 3,000 square feet per gallon
Texture and porosity of surface will determine final coverage rates. Porous concrete surfaces may require additional coats.
Be sure surface to be treated is clean and dry. ProGuard will not hide stains.
Aggressive scrubbing with a neutral or alkaline cleaner is recommended. *Avoid citrus or butyl degreasers when cleaning. ProGuard will not bond to acidic surfaces, if applying over an acid stain, neutralize thoroughly first.
IMPORTANT - Do not over apply, thin coats are best.
Apply ProGuard using a microfiber pad. Using a pump up sprayer, spray lightly over the area to be coated, then spread ProGuard thinly and evenly using the microfiber pad over the rest of the area.
For best results, limit the size of the area being treated at any one time to a 20 x 20 foot area. Spread at a rate of 1,500 - 2,000 square feet per gallon. Do not work ProGuard into the surface - spread at an even rate. Allow each coat to dry for 30-60 minutes between coats.
A second coat will improve the gloss and stain protection.
Buff floor with a high speed burnisher (1,500 - 2,000 rpm) equipped with a natural fiber floor pad. Buffing between coats is recommended and will improve the gloss. Coverage for a second coat should yield 2,000 - 3,000 square feet per gallon.
ProGuard is packed in 2.5 gallon containers, sold each or by the case of 2 = 5 gallons

For Professional use Only
For use on interior surfaces only. Protect from freezing. Agitate before use. Do not allow standing water to dwell on surface for 7 days following application. Do not allow traffic on the surface until it is dry - typically 30-60 minutes. Remove overspray quickly with a damp cloth and detergent. Always perform a test patch before beginning the job to verify coverage, appearance, and surface material compatibility.
Routine sweeping or dust mopping, and mopping or floor scrubbing with an automatic scrubber with water and a neutral pH cleaner is recommended. Do Not Use cleaners that are acidic or that have citrus (d-Limonene) or Butyl based degreasers. ProGuard is chemically resistant and helps reduce staining. Some compounds, especially acids, may damage the surface, therefore it may not be suitable for some applications.
ProGuard is similar to 3M Stone Floor Protector, Convergent Pentra Finish.
